Het idyllische strand met turquoise wateren wordt over het hoofd gezien door de twee eilandjes &#8216;Agria&#8217; en &#8216;Imeri&#8217;. De ruige maar berijdbare onverharde weg (het beste in een vierwielaandrijving) naar Balos begint aan het einde van de hoofdstraat van het dorp Kalyviani en volgt de oostelijke helling van Mt Geroskinos.
