La vieille ville v\u00e9nitienne est un labyrinthe de rues \u00e9troites drap\u00e9es de verri\u00e8res florales, de gracieuses maisons \u00e0 balcons en bois et de monuments v\u00e9nitiens orn\u00e9s, avec des minarets ajoutant une touche orientale. La Fortezza du XVIe si\u00e8cle de R\u00e9thymnon se trouve sur le site de l&rsquo;ancienne acropole de la ville. \u00c0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de ses murs massifs, un grand nombre de b\u00e2timents se dressaient autrefois, dont seules une \u00e9glise et une mosqu\u00e9e sont rest\u00e9es intactes.
